First
words are a hot subject of discussion among parents.
While it seems that speech happens overnight –
the truth is, components of language development begin
at birth (or perhaps
sooner) and continue throughout childhood. Baby BumbleBee
has a number of titles designed to boost language development.
These are great for an infant or toddler, or for parents
concerned about their child’s language development.

on "entertainment only" t.v. and videos too
soon, and, as a result, we noticed her speech development
was slightly behind. I panicked until I found
your website.I was afraid that because she was used to "entertainment
only" that she wouldn't respond as well to your
videos, but I bought the 10-Volume Set anyway.
To our pleasant surprise, she took to the videos almost
right away! She can say all 69 words from the first
3 Vocabulary Builder videos - she even runs around trying
to find the objects in our own home to show to us. I
just wanted to say thank you so much for developing
such a wonderful teaching tool to help parents to help
children achieve their best!

The
following is a customer's response when we asked if we could
use her e-mail on our site.....
"You may use whatever you wish - Jesse is doing so well
because of the program that his speech therapist informed
me last night that she believes that the Baby Bumblebee and
my working with him has done more for him in the short amount
of time than in the 3 months of her working with him prior
to the program."
And, the original e-mail.............
"I would like to share with you a continued
story of success with your products, my son Jesse who is
3 and autistic, stared on Baby Bumblebee in September of
2004. At the time, he was saying about 10 words. Since then,
we have purchased the entire set of DVD's through your company
and now, my son is saying complete sentences such as "Sit in the chair"
"Sit down" "tickle me" "that's a
tree, flower, dog or cat". I can't tell you
how much this means to me. I even introduced your program
to his Kids Program teacher who is a big "Baby Einstein
Fan", after seeing how much the program is helping Jesse,
she is now using my DVD's until the school district purchases
them for her. The other autistic children in his class love
them and even their parents are remarking on how much they
are all improving in their speech. I have give out information
on your products daily.
Jesse is counting (something he couldn't do before) - he uses
a drum and counts each time he "bangs" (that's a
new word too)! I would love for you to see the improvement
everyday in him. It is astounding. His tantrums caused by
limited communication have all but stopped. He interacts with
normal children his own age at day care because he can speak
to them. He is saying his siblings names, the dog's name,
even mine at times.
He has a song that we sing together "Bumble Bee time,
Bumble bee time, Come on get in your chair it's bumble bee
time" I used to sing it to him on the way home from day
care every night before we got in the door so he knew I was
going to put on a DVD. Now he sings the song and chooses which
DVD he wants to see. And sit he does, right in front of the
TV. If some one gets in his way "move the bee is here".
Jesse works hard for his speech, but your product
touched him where everything else failed. Every day he learns
something, and every day I am grateful for the speech engine
that put your web site in front of me.
Keep up your wonderful work. And we are looking forward to
looking for your newest teaching tool!"
"..... first off, let me tell you how much my son enjoys
your products. Alex will be 5 next month and has high functioning
autism and apraxia of speech. When he was younger, the baby
bumblebee vocabulary builder series really boosted his speech
and language learning in an amazing way-- he gained 100 new
words within a matter of weeks! His confidence about talking
and "trying" his words skyrocketed. Then when he was
a little older he fell in love with the math series because
numbers are his favorite thing. Now when we play the videos,
he points to each object and counts along. His teachers are
awed by his math abilities, even compared to the other kids
in his typical preschool. So now we're concentrating on emotions
and social connected-ness. I bought the series that includes
Olivia & Otis because I wanted the other two DVD's and
figured it was just a bonus. But it has become my favorite
one to watch with Alex because it tells the story using the
same patterns as the vocabulary builder series, but also includes
emotions and concepts like friendship and playing together.
My question is this: Do you have any other stories like that?
If not, are you planning to create more? Kids with autism could
really benefit from watching a DVD like Olivia & Otis because it takes
the baby bumblebee format (which is great for concrete learning
and generalization of concepts and is set to calming classical
music) and expands it to include some of the issues most challenging
for kids like mine. Thank you for the work that you do and good
luck in your endeavors! "
- All best wishes, Cathy My daughter, Ellie, is 5 years old and has pretty severe
autism. She is verbal but her functional speech has been quite
limited. She loves "baby" videos (Baby Einstein, etc.
etc.) but I have to say that the Baby Bumblebee videos have
demonstrated themselves to be a cut above in terms of language
development. Your videos are so simple and free from
distraction, with lovely, enjoyable music in the background.
She has taken many of the phrases she is hearing from your "Opposites"
and "Action" videos and begun to generalize them all
over the house. She'll walk into a closet and say, "I am
